Richard has worked as a Artist Blacksmith for 4 years.  He has over 20 years experience in construction and engineering and has worked all over the world.

 

In 2011 he decided to settle in East London and took up blacksmithing with Marshall & Lowe Blacksmiths to see how his skills in welding and fabrication were "done in the olden days".

 

Today he is an exhibited artist and also carries out commissions for other artists.  He has a passion for passing on the skills of his rare trade and now uses his vast experience in instruction to teach blacksmithing and run "have a go sessions" for all ages and abilities.

 

Richard is one of very few craftsmen in the capital who can carry out genuine authentic restoration on ironwork.
